Veneremur cernui:
Et antiquum documentum
Novo cedat ritui:
Praestet fides supplementum
Sensuum defectui.
Genitori, Genitoque
Laus et jubilatio,
Salus, honor, virtus quoque
Sit et benedictio:
Procedenti ab utroque
Compar sit laudatio.
Amen.

Hi Father, Im setting at the computer quietly singing the melody to myself but wondering if I remember the English translation of all the words. So move over Mr. Ox, I dont understand this blog. The religious art is beautiful but I cant make it any bigger on my screen, so I must be missing something. GB John
OK John, even I can do that. Right click on the image, select "save image as" select that image, use the symbol of magnifying glass to enlarge. But I don't understand it either. Father, please enlighten us. SP
John-
It must be your settings or your computer. I just clicked on this picture and it enlarged beautifully. I seldom have problems enlarging but sometimes the process used to add pictures/photos doesn't allow for it but most do.
Hope you can figure out what's wrong because many are worth seeing up close and personal. The ones I like best I 'save' to a folder.
I didn't mean to make it quite so obscure.
I was referring to the unflattering appellation given to St. Thomas Aquinas during his university days. His very quiet demeanor combined with his huge girth gained him the nickname of "the dumb ox." When one considers the brilliance of the man, both intellectually and spiritually -- taking, for example, his incomparable Tantum ergo -- he wasn't such a "dumb ox" after all.
