A blog I can heartily recommend is "De Cura Animarum" by Jeffrey Steel. Jeffrey was an Anglican clergyman, and entered the Catholic Church this past July with his wife and six children. Jeffrey is an American now living in England. He writes beautifully, and his story is compelling. Also, please keep him in your prayers as he continues his academic work, and awaits God's Will for his future ministry in the Catholic Church.

How long has it taken others to be approved or disapproved for the pastoral provision? Months? Years?
It is probably on an individual basis. I have heard of 3 new AU parishes/missions starting. Do you think Father that there will be more soon?
Thank you, Father! I appreciate you making this plug for my return and your kind words.
All the best and keep in touch!
In the present circumstances Jeffrey wouldn't come under the Pastoral Provision, since it's for the Church in the United States. His bishop in England will simply make a request directly to the Holy See for permission to ordain him -- unless there's something about the situation I don't know.
Is there an "average" amount of time for the Pastoral Provision process in the US? Is it longer than the UK process?
