Sweetest Wood and Sweetest Iron...
Faithful Cross, above all other,
one and only noble Tree:
none in foliage, none in blossom,
none in fruit thy peer may be.

Father, that is just beyond beautiful. Thank you...Now, could you come up with art for The Lamb of God with the banner of Christ?
It sure looks like it. I went to college in St. Louis and spent a bit of time at the oratory. My fraternity did some volunteer work there. I found this picture below and it looks almost identical. http://www.flickr.com/photos/msabeln/2019434495/in/set-72157603172275484/ The rest of the album is worth looking at. They call it the Cathedral of South City. It's spectacular.
I have a special place in my heart for the Cathedral-Basilica. I was a tour guide there while in college. I know tons of gee-whiz facts. For instance, the mosaics are composed of 41.5 million individual glass tiles. It's well worth the visit.

Father,
Is that picture from St. Francis de Sales Oratory in St. Louis?
NRR, I don't know -- I can't find a credit for the picture. But it certainly is beautiful.

Yes, it is the High Altar. I recognized it immediately. An amazing church; be sure to visit it and the Cathedral-Basilica if in St. Louis. Cheers!
