And you thought our biggest problem is the economy? Check out this woman's emergency:MARCH 3--Angered that her local McDonald's was out of Chicken McNuggets, a Florida woman called 911 three times to report the fast food "emergency." Latreasa Goodman, 27, last Saturday called police to complain that a cashier--citing a McDonald's 'all sales are final policy'--would not give her a refund. When cops responded to the restaurant, Goodman told them, "This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one." Goodman noted, "I called 911 because I couldn't get a refund, and I wanted my McNuggets." (Read the whole story here.)

Perhaps she can get some relief from the president... I'm sure there was a victim's compensation program for catastrophic fast food miscommunication in the stimulus bill.
I think you need to give your parishioners clearer instructions on how to keep the Lenten fast!
The really tragic part of all this is that the woman was sincere in thinking that she was right to call 911. She thought that was its purpose. And she probably has a high school diploma from a public school, or a GED. (If you think socialized education is bad, just wait until you experience socialized health care!)
